I've trained people for twenty years and I co-own a gym. If I were putting a gym out back, this is the building I'd start with. It isn't a shed. It's a garage.

Why this build
Train at home.
No basement ceiling.
- 9′ walls. A power rack stands 7½′ and a press overhead goes higher. Most sheds have 7′ walls. The A-Frame Garage has 9′.
- A floor built for iron. Floor joists every 8″ instead of every 16″. Twice the framing under a loaded rack and dropped dumbbells.
- A garage door. An 8×7 overhead door. Air in the summer, sled pushes on the driveway, and a way to get the rower in.
- Insulation and power. Iron gets cold in January. R13 walls and roof, plus a panel, lights and outlets.
- A ramp. A heavy-duty 8′ ramp to roll the equipment in.
Coach's notes
- Cover the floor with ¾″ rubber stall mats. Any farm store has them. They save the floor and your plates.
- Rack on the back wall, door end open. That leaves you room for carries, sleds and air.
- Running a treadmill or a bike? Most want their own circuit. Tell us on the site check.

Price list effective 7/1/26. Shell: the building with the home gym package, insulated and powered. Finished adds painted SmartSide walls, a double-layer floor, four more outlets and two more lights. Stone pad and sales tax are extra. Delivery and setup are free within 100 miles of the shop, then $5 a mile. Monthly is 60-month rent-to-own; built-on-site sizes are financed instead.
